Can't see a problem with it. It will mean nothing to a toddler.

SeymourButz · 19/01/2009 13:19

No I meant at todler level - but visible to older kids, and well to me. I don't wnat a be thonged arse in my face .

Any level will be visible to older kids.

SeymourButz · 19/01/2009 13:20

oh forget it then.

(personally I feel the Daily Sport has no place on a newsstand or anywhere else.)

NotADragonOfSoup · 19/01/2009 13:21
Hmm
traceybath · 19/01/2009 13:23

i think daily sport should be placed with magazines like nuts etc.

however i went into one garage (very rural) and there were no normal magazines just very adult ones and videos all displayed at normal height - i must have recoiled as the man behind the till did look a little shamefaced.

Lio · 19/01/2009 13:23

I would like it somewhere up high, where I would also like Nuts and their ilk. Or, as Soupy says, ideally I would like them to not to exist.

Lio · 19/01/2009 13:24

Snap, traceybath!

SeymourButz · 19/01/2009 13:25

there is a really grubby shop at a garage near here. ONe day I am going to say " are you not ashamed to sell all this porn?"
one day..

  • ooh will pick up a mars bar as am a bit hungry
  • ooh yes and busty babes too!
SeymourButz · 19/01/2009 13:30

and for men add in" and a pork pie too"

YANBU
our local garage has these "lads mags" on display and I give them a withering look evertime I'm in
I saw a cartoon once that had a man saying "yes we should keep these magazines that degrade women out of the view of children" and a woman saying "so at what age is ok to degrade women?" says it all really

gagamama · 19/01/2009 14:09

I thought you meant "at toddler level" in an intellectual/lexical sense! In which case, YANBU.

noonki · 19/01/2009 16:52

YANBU - I think they should be up high and the top shelf should have some sort of height restriction as in our newsagent they are at waist height.

kerala · 19/01/2009 18:07

Personally think they should all only be sold in sex shops and anyone purchasing should be obliged to wear a dirty mac and shamed expression.

PadDad · 19/01/2009 20:24

I also thought you meant "at toddler level" in an intellectual/lexical sense!

SeymourButz,
You wrote, "ONe day I am going to say " are you not ashamed to sell all this porn?""

I have actually said that to the people at the garage near where I work. Granny porn and the like! I've nothing against porn, but a lot against its public display.

They said that it was all chosen and ordered by their boss, and it was what he was into.

But that can't be right. He'd go out of business if there weren't loads of punters buying this stuff.
