for missing are dd's bed time 3 times this week, cause 'he is out with the lads!!!!!'.

I am sick to death of it, its not a new issue just 1 that i am finding harder and harder to deal with. If i mention how much it bothers me he just says "well i dont moan when you go out" not that i ever go out, once a month maybe and i always give plenty of notice!!!

Thanks for reading xx

YANBU

Make it that the nights he IS in he has to do the whole bed time routine.

bollockbrain · 18/01/2009 20:19

yanbu - tosser to leave it all to you.

2littlemonkeys · 18/01/2009 20:21

The other problem is, if do tell him to put them to be bed, they dont want him to cause they are so use to me doing everything, so i end up doing it any way!!!

He went out a 3.30 and called to say he was on his way home over an hour ago, we live a 10 min walk away!

it's not just the bed time he misses then, it's a big chunk of the day...tbh the whole lot would piss me off, why doesn't he wanna spend some time with them, with you all..

noonki · 18/01/2009 20:26

he is walking all over you, I would be livid, as dh would be if I treated him and our dcs like this.

2littlemonkeys · 18/01/2009 20:26

I dont no, sometimes i feel i would be better on my own. At least i could plan my days etc

Do you do nice things together as a family?

Does he help in other ways?

2littlemonkeys · 18/01/2009 20:35

We do nice things yes, we go on family days out etc but as soon as his phone goes asking him to 'go for a pint' he cant say no.

He makes it out like he is doing me a favour if he looks after the girls when i am at work. He never takes them out anywhere on his own, he will just stay in till i get home!
I worked most of christmas the weekend in between but home by 12.30, on all the occassions he hadent even got himself or the kids dress!!!

As i am sat her writing this i cant believe i am married to a guy like this!!!!!

This is more common than you think, it puzzles the hell out of me - Sunday is a family day, end of story and he should bloody well grow up and get used to it. Don't you have some sort of pamper weekend booked for next week? If you don't then book one now!

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 20:49

YANBU. Give him a slice of his own medicine and wait to see how long he takes to complain about it. Selfish git.

All too common a problem these days.
