I think one or all of these aubergine threads needs to go into MN classics. I presume you're not serving the aubergine with fruit shoots.

All we have for supper is a large lump of roast pig (Alas, poor Gobbler, we knew her). I want aubergines!

YANBU. Am about to amend my Tesco online order so I get one tomorrow. Had forgotten how much I like it until it became the hottest topic of the day on MN. Yum!
