....before changing the bedtime programmes?! I My children don't want to watch In the Night Garden

Before anyone says 'heaven forbid you should actually play with them' DH is working away, I've been up since 5am with DS and DD was up at 5.45am. I've been entertaining since stupid o'clock!

CBeebies can be very inconsiderate sometimes

noonki · 14/01/2009 18:42

YANBU at all

along with naffing asda for changing it's ailse again....where oh where is the frigging marmite this week

I can't deal with all these surprises life throws at me.

5inthebed · 14/01/2009 18:48

YANBUMy little boy has autism, so ITNG is his last routine before bed, which means he now wants to go to bed practically a whole hour earlier, which means a whole hour up earlier! They should put a warning on or something!

YANBU. Boogie Beebies was a fixture for us. Poor DS looks so disappointed every day now at 4.45.

kettlechip · 14/01/2009 19:10

I've stuck a Sky series link on Postman Pat, Peppa Pig, Night Garden etc so ds can have it on demand. Easier than coping with the disappointment when it's not on when expected!
It's clogging up all the memory on there though, need to delete some stuff..

MaHumbug · 14/01/2009 19:12

I love 3rd and Bird and I'm glad it's been moved to the bedtime hour.

llareggub · 14/01/2009 19:19

iPlayer is your friend......

Make bedtime anytime!

Caz10 · 14/01/2009 19:31

yip, sky plus or the dvd - ITNG is magically on at the right time for us every night!

ummadam · 14/01/2009 21:36

MaHumbug - how can you bear the singing though? and muffin makes me want to take up fireams!

ElizabethanFilth · 14/01/2009 21:42

But, but FIMBLES IS BACK

mylifemykids · 14/01/2009 21:56

We (and by we, i mean they) are SO missing ITNG although one it has been a great source of delight that one of the birds has got the same name as one of my DT charges, so i spose we'll live!

slushymummy · 14/01/2009 22:15

3rd and bird is great, both my DD's (5mth and 2.6) love it ! The tunes are all so merry and joyful.

Have to moan about "sky and jelly" presenting the bedtime hour though..... where are Chris and Pui ?

Another moan ..... after I finally convinced DD1 that Christmas was over and that Christmas karaoke has changed to BTB, what do Cbeebies do ??? They put the Christmas karaoke ON without having to press the red button - cue DD1 going on and on and on about "mummy, still Ikmas, Farmer Ikmas come tomorrow ??"

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 14/01/2009 22:16

You are not alone, this has totally disrupted ds's bedtime routine! INTG at 6.20 was a great filler after supper/before bed, and all the characters going to bed was great to reinforce his bedtime. God, and watching it on the hard drive recorder means we have to go into a different room fgs!

Luckily ds seems to have coped with it pretty well. I was considering starting a petition at no.10 or Facebook?

5inthebed · 14/01/2009 22:17

I (shockingly) dont have anything to record with. I've no vcr, and dont have sky+. I do have ITNG on dvd, but my fantastic son can tell the difference between bedtime hour and a dvd.

angelene · 14/01/2009 22:21

Slushymummy Chris and Pui have LEFT presentation, they are working on a new show for CBeebies.

Re 3rd and Bird - is one of the voices one of the Lolas? It sounds very much like her but I can't seem to find any info on the voices [must get out more emoticon]

Amapoleon · 14/01/2009 22:22

How do you do a series link? Thanks.

llareggub · 14/01/2009 22:27

You need to press the green button on the sky remote when in the sky planner.

When you have the programme highlighted in your planner, look at the bottom of the screen. If the green button is present you can series link. I've found that I can only do it before the programme starts, if it has already recorded it doesn't give the option.

Our sky plus planner is full of chuffing Chugginton, Postman Pat, Little Red Tractor, Big Barn Farm and Top Gear!

merryandmad · 14/01/2009 22:28

Amapoleon Series Link is availble on Sky plus- go on to the planner page to show your recordings and press the green button9 once highlighted your programme)- it then records every programme on that series automatically- so you have a few episodes to watch in the wee small hours as required

slushymummy · 14/01/2009 22:44

There goes my diet, I had to have some chocolate after that devestating news about Chris and Pui . PLEASE tell me we're not doomed to have the huge grinner and the little green thing presenting for ever ???????
