To feel sad and wistful because, two weeks ago (christmas eve to be precise), DD finally slept in her own bed for the first time........

and i have just had to sit and fill in the application for her to start school in september!!!

Honestly, i am gutted - she is my BABY!!! She will only be just four (b'day 23 july) and she is still quite babyish in lots of ways. Not just that, she is my little mate - what am i going to do without her?

It's a very emotional time isn't it. I remember dressing DS1 in his school uniform for the first time, I was so emotional. Especially as he was a month shy of his 3rd birthday. Fortunately it was my first day back at work and me and DH work in the same school that DS1 is in so we could spy keep an eye on him They grow up so quickly it's frightening. However, I'm constantly amazed at the changes and other challenges that occur on a near daily basis. He will always be my baby & I'm just as emotional with DS2 & he's only 9 months old!!! Just remember that she'll be fine and have a great time while you'll be the one coming to terms with it Us parents suffer more than they do trust me

Bittersweet time.

You can borrow my 3 year old to sleep in your bed, if that's any help. She will have to come in with a selection of her toys too though - usually at about 2am
