Is it only me or does anyone else get irritated when people mention "Fruit Shoots" as if they will get MN browny points.

Gateau · 13/01/2009 14:14

Pamelat, why are pre-pached fruit bad? You mean raisins are bad? In what other way do you buy them?

Gateau · 13/01/2009 14:15

Sounds like something from the Famous Five books.

annoyingdevil · 13/01/2009 14:21

I hate the cliquey in-jokes too. I refuse to become an internet sheep

ScottishMummy · 13/01/2009 14:24

and hate the dont feed the troll picture that bounces about.just trying too hard

pamelat · 13/01/2009 14:25

Gateau - was tongue in cheek thinking that someone would tell me to buy loose fruit from my local shop and nothing pre packed at a big nasty supermarket.

Gateau · 13/01/2009 14:28

Ah right. Was flummoxed, thinking people really do need to chill out a bit more.

deste · 13/01/2009 16:26

mrshammond I was about to take away your browny points but since you have appologised you can have them back.

OP posts:
annoyingdevil · 13/01/2009 16:50

I don't get the Bat thing either. Someone explain

Surfermum · 13/01/2009 17:08

No! It's not that you're not in, you weren't here when it was "created" so just don't know about it.

I think this is how it went ... it was a game one day where you had to get someone to click on a link you had posted. You were meant to make them think it was a genuine link to something (eg what do you think of this dress for a wedding) but instead of linking to a dress/whatever it linked to a picture of the bat, so you'd been had.

CrackopentheBaileys · 13/01/2009 18:02

sounds hilarious

Are you the 'annoyingdevil' from Balls of Steel?

YouLukaBeautiful · 13/01/2009 18:48

Does this help?

CrackopentheBaileys · 13/01/2009 19:18

ScottishMummy · 14/01/2009 22:02

found in chat section, generally quite informal.unfortunately some folk singled them out for piss taking.kind of like sanctuary/tea room threads

probably some kind of cliquey challenge, see if they can be provoked yada yadda

deste · 14/01/2009 22:06

No sausagenmash you can have your Pot Noodle (if you must) because you are not throwing it in to be cool.
