Yes of course I am COMPLETELY unreasonable. And grumpy.

Just spent the whole morning cleaning the house which was a TIP, and the kitchen is now all gleamy (have to grudgingly admit dh helped in kitchen). Then went to supermarket. dh stayed in and entertained ds who got out of bed on the wrong side this morning, and has made him into a happy chirpy boy for my return.

I wanted to come back with my shopping to my nice clean house, then make soup with all the lovely fresh veggies, then maybe a chilli for tonight which can then pooter on by itself for a couple of hours to get yummy, and then I wanted to make a cake. I rarely get time to mess about in the kitchen and I was really looking forward to it. I was going to get ds to help as he loves "cooking".

As soon as I'd put away the shopping dh zoomed into the kitchen and said "ooh I fancy cooking" and is now making the chilli.

oooh I am SO unreasonable I KNOW I am but I want to stamp my foot and shout "MINE" and not share. In fact I now have free time and dh is making dinner. And he made me a really nice cup of tea.

Tis not fair, I want to be cross.

aw. he soooo thinks he's being nice.

bath instead?

enjoy your chilli x

I know, and I need to enjoy the treat I know! I am SO unreasonable. But a quiet grumble here will prevent me being totally nuts later and spoiling it for him!

I know I'll enjoy the chilli too it will be lovely. And I can probably cook tomorrow maybe, but you know how it is when you had your mind fixed on something!

YABU - you should have said you were doing it.

singyswife · 10/01/2009 16:24

I would kill for my dh to do this for me. I soooo need some time off. The day/a couple of hours/anything. Put your feet up and enjoy (and be nice to your dh).

LoveMyLapTop · 10/01/2009 16:24

I know what you mean
I plan things out in my head
then get very out of sorts if I have to deviate form it
BUT YABU sorry!
Just enjoy the chance to put your feet up and mumsnet relax!

Good Lord! I'd kill for a DH who could make a reasonable chilli (or anything else for that matter), he does try but it always involves me having to stand over him and give blow-by-blow instructions so I usually give up and do it myself.

cheshirekitty · 10/01/2009 17:29

Take a chill pill. Have a lovely radox bath, glass of wine and just think of that lovely chilli being cooked for you - heaven!!

kitbit · 11/01/2009 16:42

I know I was VU! Kept it zipped, enjoyed and let dh feel all lovely for having helped so much. Had a play in the kitchen today instead

And yes, the chilli was lovely!
