So it's not AIBU at all really - it's just that AIBU seems to be the busiest section.

Please click on the link below. The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre are desperately trying to locate this man. Finding him could be the key to rescuing a child from abuse. He is not a suspect, but a potential witness.

do you know this man

Thanks

Probably worth pointing out that he's a witness, not a suspect though.

Who are The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre? Never heard of them. How come the police aren't asking?

Police do know & have published. I received this info at work. The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, Are involved in investigating online abuse of children that can be grooming, bullying, passing of obscene material involving children. I have posted before on this subject but not many people were interested to busy looking for an argument and looking for trolls. I am rubbish at links but I'll come back with an attempt.

TheYearOfTheCat · 10/01/2009 21:14

Nametaken, CEOP is part of SOCA, the Serious and Organised Crime Agency. They are the police. The apppeal on the website is dated 21 December 08, but they have contacted all police forces in the UK this week, and asked them to publicise the issue as widely as possible as they have had no success to date.

I should add that I am not involved in the investigation, so I can't add any more detail to what is on the website.
