I realy don't like the present dh gave me for Christmas

Now I'm going to sound ungrateful, but dh has just handed me a watch which he bought on eBay and which is my Christmas present arrived late. The trouble is, I really really don't like it. I think he could have known, too - it's a gold colour and enormous. I never wear gold, especially as my wedding ring is silver coloured. It's also far too big for my wrist. As it was an eBay purchase, he's going to struggle to return it. I felt I had to tell him (and I think I did so tactfully) that I didn't like it as, being a watch, I'd have to wear it every day.

How do I handle it now? What do we do to get rid of it? I'm pretty sure it was expensive, so too much to give away to someone else (and I can't imagine who else would like it).

Have I done the wrong thing? Should I have lied and pretended to love it?

If ou dont like then its probably best you stick it back on ebay.

Could you ot ave worn it for a little while then told him it was really hurting you wrist/allergic reaction, therefore saving his feelings a little?

my dh bought me a ds lite
so far I can't see the point of it
He bought 2 games - tetris, (which I can play on facebook) and a load of puzzles, word searches etc that tbh I'd rather do with a pen and paper

Did he buy it from an ebay shop? They might accept returns?

I'm terrible if dh gets me something I don't like - I just can't lie and he can tell by my response whether I like it or not even if I try my best to say I like it.

Can you take it to cashconverters or something?
