Right I need some advice ladies,

My daughter is nearly 2 1/2.

She knows nipples are nipples becuase quite frankly when she asks what they are what the hell am I supposed to tell her??

Now my family are in up roar because she knows what nipples are! and are suitably disgusted and think its crude!

I asked them what I should say their were then and they saud "boobs"??!! I responded by saying so what about daddy then, does he have boobs????!!!!

So come on ladies I need an alternative word to nipple! Im 21 and cant think of any!

Surely a nipple is a flaming nipple!!!

Nipple is a dirty word?! No, its a perfectly useful word, medical or otherwise, to describe a part of your anatomy!

Sorry, but I don't particularly like "boobs" or "boobies" - don't object to someone else using it, but fine. Just don't see what's wrong with nipples, myself.

Hear hear Tinytim, my son is 3 and knows they're nipples. Daddy has them and so does he, but neither have b00bs - well.. Daddy has manb00bs but that's another thread!!!

My 5 year old daughter calls nipples "poppers" though god knows how or why she came up with this as we have always called them nipples - and why shouldn't we ?! What's crude about that ?

Nipple is a perfectly acceptable word .... the only alternative I can think of is "teat" and IMO that sounds awful and suggests you are a female dog or similar.

The French for nipple is 'mamelon'. Apparently.
