samsonthecat · 21/12/2008 00:01

Are we married to the same man?

Lazycow · 21/12/2008 00:16

YANBU BUT I do this a lot and it is always when I am very unhappy or depressed. I am tired in the day because I haven't slept enough and also because i am always tired when unhappy but as evening arrives I really don't want to go to bed. There are two main reasons for this.

1 - I am desperate for time to myself as I tend to isolate myself when unhappy

2 - Going to bed just makes the next day come quicker and frankly I don't want it to.

This may not be the case for your dh though it is for me. Have you asked him why he doesn't go to bed earlier if he is tired. And when I say ask I mean in a tone that is friendly and not too annoyed - difficult to do I know when he is probably being incredibly annoying but if you genuinely want an answer then asking him is the only way to get one.

Hey its my DP!!! lol Only he stays up to play on the computer.

YANBU at all. My DH moans about how tired he is and then goes to bed at 9pm most nights. So technically, he is tired - but what grown man needs 10 hours sleep a night?? (apart from DH of course)
He never does any childcare in the night at all, and then says he has to get his sleep because he works all day.

He does have the grace to realise he is lucky he doesn't get a frying pan round his head when he starts moaning...

emkana · 21/12/2008 00:37

He said to me just now "we don't have to get up early tomorrow do we"

erm... so that means I'll get up with ds then I guess
