He has a cold, is feeling a little sorry for himself. We have been cuddled up on the sofa all day watching Disney films and now he has fallen asleep. He's 2.8 and usually leaping off tall buildings for most of the day.

I feel like a bad mother for making the most of his suffering!

oh yes I had this last week, 2.4 dd had a really bad cold and fell asleep on me for an hour in the afternoon, it was bliss!

Um, assuming it is just that you like the opportunity to spoil and baby him a bit, and not that you have Munchausen's Syndrome by proxy, then no, YANBU.

No, enjoy it, I spent most of last week snuggling with poorly Ds age 3 with chicken pox. Way too much TV, no pre-christmas jobs done but WTH, they grow up too quickly.

You are not enjoying him being ill, but enjoying having him all to yourself.
I am the same with my 3 even though the youngest is almost 10, he's still very cuddly and smells lovely.

I am expecting DC2 to arrive in 9 weeks and am feeling very nostalgic for my PFB!

mine was like this last week and the peace was nice. However, he wasn't really himslef and I didn't like it much at all. I was relieved to see the cheeky grin and mischief creeping abck in this week. But he has jsut chopped up his brothers remote control can (in box) with scissors. Now i'd rather have the cuddles and dvds back!
