ive offered to take her to a salon for a bit of pampering, but she keeps shaving her eyebrows, and they are now two stubby little bits that stick out at weird angles.Im so upset, shes really beautiful and this is ruining her looks,i wanted a wee excuse to do some bonding but shes not interested.aibu?

YANBU but make her realise that if she keeps shaving them, they may not grow back at all! Does she shave them to shape them or does she shave the lot off?

lol i remember those days!(the eyebrow shaving) No of course yanbu. Still take her to a salon if she'll go and have a word with the therapist about her eyebrows and see if she'll talk to her about it, also buy her a really good pair of tweezers. You sound like a great stepmum

NBU atall.

I had a friend at work who used to pluck her eyebrows so much they looked ridiculous, like 2 /'s . In the end i had to be blunt, really blunt and a but rude really but it worked and they look much better now.

Maybe a bit of bluntness is called for ?

dsrplus8 · 17/12/2008 12:23

cant really be blunt about it as her mum does the same,(to be quite honest, shes far prettier than i so id just sound envious of the exw),dsd has shaved off the archey bit and is left with about a cm of tuft near her nose(both sides).i said to her she needs her eyebrows as they help stop dirt getting in her eyes, she looked at me like i had two heads! ,begining to think she doesnt like me ....

Maybe buy her an eyebrow styling kit for christmas ?

Or a voucher for some threading and then tell her she'll have to let them grow for a month first.

People do do weird things to their brows eh.. at least she's not shaved lines in them or anything.

worzel ,thats a fab idea, i will get her a salon voucher, then she can go herself or with her freinds, thanks
