Not unreasonable in the least. I have a hankering to learn the banjo.

VivaLaPotPourri · 14/12/2008 19:37

just got dh a guitar for his bdm DD1 one for xmas and DD2 a ukulele for xmas - will np doubt now feel left out!

But why would you think is unreasonable?

twoluvlysnowmen · 14/12/2008 19:44

I've bought ds a ukulele (or should that be an ukulele?) a couple of weeks ago, early Christmas pressie, as he is doing a GCSE in music and needs to compose something.

He has a drum kit but said it's hard to compose something for the drums.

He's taught himself to play the ukulele in a short time,

YANBU. Go for it and have a bit of fun.

FairyLightsForever · 14/12/2008 20:17

Ooh and if you want some inspiration for what to play, then look no further! Brilliant!

Spink · 14/12/2008 20:36

this site is great for uke music and playing tips (it is a bit of an odd site layout but click around and you'll find some gems):
ukulele greatness

Oooh, I've bought DH a purple one for Christmas, DD(3) very confused and thinks I've bought him a cello! Don't think I'd be able to hide a cello in my knicker drawer!
