Sorry - long!

I did a lovely list - we thought hard about what she had, and what she likes to play with at her friends' houses - what would add diversity to what she plays with now and found the best place to get these things from, and then at the end added and if you want to get something else she likes Charlie and Lola and still likes ITNG.

So they've got her all Charlie and Lola stuff and an ITNG floor puzzle that a) they got her last Christmas and b) her uncle (their son) who was present at a) got her for her birthday (and c) but they wouldn't know this my friend got her for her birthday as well!).

It took me hours at a time of stress (Christmas, recent bereavement and house inheritance hoo-hahs, and parents moving house) and I feel pissed cos I really needn't have bothered!

I've past the point of caring with my mother she has done this my whole life. DH gets annoyed that I get annoyed with her about it. I think I've been a meanie this year because I told my Mother what she is getting my son AND I've already brought it online. She is going to pay me. This will be the only time I do this. She looked a bit crest fallen. I hate that she spends money she hasn't got then moans all year. I think it because 1)She would like to pick out the present 2)She thinks I'm a control freak 3)She a better Mum to my son that I am. The rubbish that comes into our house via her.
I'll stop ranting now. Sorry. {fblush]
