DS has just come home from his last day of term at pre-school with 36 christmas cards from the other children. Only one has a child's mark/scribble in it. The others all literally say "To DS, from/love X". DS doesn't even attend pre-school on the same days at some of these kids. DS doesn't give a hoot - he can't even open the envelopes let alone read them! AIBU to think this is a complete waste and won't ever join in this madness, or am I a complete bah humbug?

Just recycle - I am sure the cards will just end up in the 'cutting up' box at pre-school ....

YANBU. 36 does sound like a ridiculous amount of xmas cards at that age, especially as he doesn't even know some of the kids.

At least its the last day so you won't feel obliged to send a card back to everyone!

My 5 year old twins are only sending cards to their 5 best friends, certainly not the whole class of 30.

YABU they can be recycled, they may have come from a sustainable source, and its christmas
