To cancel my order and not want to have to go to the blooming post office to return the order I've been sent incorrectly?

That's it really! Placed an order with ghost for a dress. They sent me someone else's order. Now I've got to go to the post office to return the order and pay for it(they said they'll refund me when they get it.) I'm really pissed off. The point of ordering online is so that you don't have to traipse round! I just phoned to cancel my order because I'm so disappointed with the service. The parcel arrived all battered. The woman on the phone gave a really loud sigh when I said I was cancelling my own order. It's their mistake, not mine! Also the order I've got has the person's telephone number and address. Aren't they supposed to be personal details?

I would get them to send a courier for it. Would not go the the PO.

Contact them and say that you have no means of getting to the post office so they will need to send a courier. Ensure you have been refunded the money for your own order.

I think that under the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act they cannot actually make you return the goods. However although they are not legally allowed to most companies will hold you to ransom by refusing to refund your order until you do - or they have in my experience. I would definitely demand that they arrange a courier.
