AIBU to think the system sucks?

My ex-P is dragging me through the family courts - basically still trying to bully me - because he is able to afford it as getting full legal aid even though he is working.
Meanwhile I am working full-time and tutoring in evenings when DD is in bed to pay the bills as the fecker left me with debts and a massive mortgage and has not contributed a penny.
I left a violent relationship and sometimes ironically it feels as if the government state are now sponsoring his continued harrassment

Feel and for you. Do you have a laywer? Do they know about the violence and debts?

Sorry to hear this. Are you in touch with WOmen's Aid or any other domestic violence support agency? They will be able to offer help but in the meantime make sure you amass and keep all the evidence of his violence and abuse (particularly if he sends you agressive texts/emails) and remember that while he can bring a case, he won't win it, and there is also the possibiity of him being labelled a 'vexatious litigant' - which is someone who brings court cases they won't win, purely to harass another person: once someone is declared a VL they are not allowed to bring cases against the person they are harassing any more.

How is he getting away with not contributing anything financially?
