I got a letter from our borough's Children's Services Directorate last week, reminding me that I need to apply for schools for DS2. Ok, fair enough, they need to remind people, I get it. But a) it was addressed to Mrs. <DS2's last name>. Not to me. That's not my name. b) It was addressed to ^just^ ^Mrs^. No ^Mr^. So I, as DS2's wrongly-named mother, am solely and entirely responsible for this? I don't think it's incredibly wrong, just a bit rude to fathers, and a bit ignorant to get my name wrong. (Yes, they probably don't have it - so what's wrong with 'Parents or Guardian of DS2'?)
