To want to punch DP for no reason at all...

Well, not actually punch him but you get the point...

For example, tonight I cooked us a lovely dinner and we sat down to eat once DS was fast asleep, half way through he got up and went upstairs to get his diary to see what he's working next week - at this point I got really pissed off! He asked what was up and I was like I'VE MADE YOU'RE F'ING DINNER AND YOU CAN'T EVEN SIT DOWN WITH ME TO ENJOY IT...

Later on, we're watching X Factor, like you do, and he started talking to me whilst I was watching, so I said one minute, let me listen and he ignored me and continued talking, I was so mad I stormed off to bed and watched the rest in bed...

AIBU and ridiculously hormonal or is he really ANNOYING?

he's annoying but then men are!!!!

Zebraa · 06/12/2008 22:53

I should add that the minute he walks into a room, I roll my eyes cos I'm expecting him to irriatate me any second...

Bit of both?

MisteleSQUONKandWine · 06/12/2008 22:54

we-ell... it sounds to me like you're being ridiculously hormonal tbh.

But, as a man, he should know this and behave accordingly and never, ever mention it. So probably YANBU even though YA iykwim

PottyCockinaPearTree · 06/12/2008 22:55

poor bloke!

Zebraa · 06/12/2008 22:59

Always best to be prepared anyway - have a glass of wine and it won't matter

cheeseandsproutssarnie · 06/12/2008 23:00

you sound scary.

soapbox · 06/12/2008 23:02

Erm, you sound a bit reactive, TBH!

Novacane · 06/12/2008 23:06

My DP always decides to have a long winded, whiney opnion on everything when I'm watching something- usually having a political opnion while watching the news, and i'm like 'well if i could hear what was going on, maybe i could have an opinion too'. soo annoying.

but the dinner thing, was it at the table or sat infront of telly. Big difference IMO.

Zebraa · 07/12/2008 15:40

Sat at the table. He just did it again today over lunch, as soon as he finished, he got up and went elsewhere whilst I'm still eating with DS!

I'd love a bottle glass of wine but I'm 6 months pregnant.

Lol, Novacane. My DH is exactly the same. When I'm watching a programme, suddenly he's animated and wants to tell me all about his day. When programme's finished, he's not interested and just gives me a couple of grunts when I want to have a conversation.

prettybutterfly · 07/12/2008 19:13

My SONS are like that!

boogeek · 07/12/2008 19:24

Lol, my DH drives me nuts by doing the opposite to the telly thing - if I speak to him, even to just make a tiny passing comment, he exaggeratedly pauses the programme, then when I have finished speaking her rewinds it so he doesn't miss even a nanosecond. Grr!
(He gets up and wanders off during dinner too. Also drives me insane.)

GColdtimer · 07/12/2008 19:28

lol my DH got up the minute he put down his knife and fork tonight leaving me to sort out DD, the clearing up, etc, etc, etc. Very annoying I know.

I have to say I lol at you rolling your eyes the minute he walks into the room. That possible is a little bit hormonal.

pinkspottywellies · 07/12/2008 19:28

Zebraa I'm 6 months pg too and my mum very carefully mentioned the other day that I'm being a bit emotional at the moment!! (Luckily she timed it well and said it nicely so didn't get a punch in the face ) Just to let you know you're not alone!

Novacane · 07/12/2008 20:37

or at bedtime, I'm knackered, we have hardly spoken all evening, well nothing more than 'run the bath love, get DS out, i'm changing the bed etc etc'

So at past midnight I fall into bed, DP decides to tell me all about all the conversations he has ever had with anyone that day, doing this tomorrow, that tomorrow, is it DS's play on Monday (its fri night FFFFFSSS!). Then he decides he needs ANOTHER wee, oh and while hes up, he'll get a drink.......

Then my little cherub wakes up at 630am.

ahh well.

nickytinseltimes · 07/12/2008 20:43

YABU op.
Poor bugger.

tiredsville · 07/12/2008 20:47

Novacane. Ditto.

tiredsville · 07/12/2008 20:55

..when he's at work ,he has to call me and knowing full well I'm busy, but has to give me a running commentary on every little detail of his day...gets through the door at home, says "alright?". Then blanks me.

Novacane · 07/12/2008 21:55

my DP rand me at work to ask me where the salt was the other day.
