As part of DS's xmas gifts he is getting football tickets to go a game on boxing day with his Dad .
DP has seen a Mum from school and offered to take her son (A)aswell ,now usually this would not be a problem but because its Boxing Day it is .I am not a heartless cow who wont let her son have friends honest .

On boxing day we always go to my Grans and see family members who we don't see for the rest of the year (including dd's Godparents).
DP and DS are going to meet us there after the game and then we are going to have to walk home with gifts ,5 dc (6 if A friend comes) in the dark.

The other thing is that although DS and A were good friends for a couple of years they have drifted apart and dont really play together anymore ,and A is going to have to sit and watch DS open gifts which wont be very nice for an 11 year old and I don't think spending boxing day afternoon with a bunch of strangers is going to be that nice for A .

Can't dp run A home after the game?

Boco · 06/12/2008 11:34

Or get A's mum to pick him up?

cyLENTeeNIGHT · 06/12/2008 11:35

could A's mum collect him from the football ground?

Hulababy · 06/12/2008 11:36

I would see if A's parents could collect him either from the ground or your granparent's house, or ask DP to drop him back.

ComeWhineWithMe · 06/12/2008 11:36

She dosen't drive Dp isn't taking the car because its a nightmare getting home from the match in the traffic .

I could ask DP to drop him off after the game it was his idea but because he wont take the car I am worried they wll already be freezing (boys not DP [grin}) .

I also have my DS stressing because his best friend is going to wonder why a boy ds hardly plays with is going along for a day out and he hasn't been invited ...not the important thing to me but to an 11 year old its a big deal ..bloody DP.
