to be a little pissed off with PIL about Christmas

My MIL told me over 2 months ago that she would be working this Christmas day (she's a nurse), so we have arranged to have Christmas dinner with my sister, her DH and my parents. We had them all over including my PIL last year (so was thinking it was someone else's turn anyway)and being 24 weeks pg it will be nice to sit back this year. My SIL called yesterday from Australia to ask why we were abandoning PIL to have a cosy Christmas with everyone else!!!!!

What did you think he was going to do, with his wife working?

Can he come too?

No he refused any invites, mil now not working and my sister hasn't room for either of them now, as her PIL, SIL, BIL and nephew all coming. My sister has said they are welcome for drinks later on, and we are taking dd there in the morning. I am just pissed off that
a) she hasn't mentioned any of this to either DH or me, or even said she is now off work
b)that she is obviously moaning to SIL about it
c) why the hell is my SIL calling from Oz to give me a hard time about abandoning them.

You are perfectly entitled to have Christmas day with whoever you choose. Ignore it, and if anyone is rude enough to bring it up do the 'we have made plans already thanks'

They have communication problems ... not your fault.
