To report the council worker?

I've just had a horrible morning with a council worker who came to fix our fire.

First he trod into the house with sopping wet clothes and left muddy footprints all over the carpet. I let that go as the weather is terrible and he looked freezing.

However a younger man followed him in, looked like a trainee or something and they were ffing and blinding to each other quite loudly (I had no kids in the house thankfully) and began talking quite crudely about women etc.

Later one the main man karate kicked my front door to which they both burst out laughing at the footprint on the door and then before he left he asked me if I had a bin to put some sticky tape stuff in. I held out my hand and said I'd get rid of it for him and he said "hang on, what about this" and he then drop kicked it into my christmas tree which knocked the star off the top that DD had bought herself. They were creased up laughing and when they went down the garden path the younger one said "she is so going tp report you mate" and the older one laughed and said "fuck em, they don't give a shit usually if they're from up here (our estate)".

I want to report them but I'm wondering if there is any truth in what he said, do they make a habbit of acting like this?? I could imagine an elderly woman to have been quite frightened by it.

Call your local councillor and complain. Then put the complaint in writing to the Head of Housing (or equivalent), and c.c. the Chief Executive and your local councillor. Look on your council's website.

You really must make a big fuss about this. It's simply unacceptable to nehave like this in someone else's home, regardless of where you live or whether you are a tenant.

This makes me really angry. These people are public servants, for goodness sake! And I work in the public sector and don't want to be placed in the same bracket as these morons

Write everything down and take it down to the council you should have an officer who deals with your home speak to them this is not acceptable and you do not have to put up with this from anyone, he should have been polite and respectfull, this man needs to have someone formally complain he obviously thinks that his behaviour is acceptable and needs to learn a lesson

report them, contractors of this caliber should be fired, councils and housing associations are assured of customer service standards when aquiring the contract, the more complaints they have about staff, the more seriously they will take customer care

Definitely write it all down and report to council and your local councillor. Doing things like this in other people's homes is so much worse than contractors who are rude and abusive in the street. You poor thing. They sond as though they might have been drunk, the childish way they were egging each other on. Definitely deserves disciplinary action from the council for them and some kind of apology and making good the physical damage for you.

Definitely report it. Having lewd conversations about women in front of you constitutes a form of sexual harassment.

Write it down word for word. Council will have to take it seriously as public sector has strict standards over these things.
