AIBU?

Share your dilemmas and get honest opinions from other Mumsnetters.

To find it hilarious the way that if someone starts an AIBU thread about something they are accused of being 'worked up' about it

I've not been on MN for a while and had forgotten about the whole AIBU thing.

Does anyone else find it funny when someone starts a thread with an innocuous enough enquiry peope will reply that they are stupud to be so getting 'worked up' or 'hysterical'.

It amuses me greatly when people get worked up and hysterical over the people they are accusing of being worked up and hysterical!

Mad world, innit?

Yes, or better still accused of being "obsessed" by the subject...

coolma · 04/12/2008 13:39

grrrrrrrrr. Am worked up now.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/12/2008 13:42

Yes, even if the OP is very mild and phrases it as something like 'AIBU to find it a bit odd.....'

pagwatch · 04/12/2008 13:44

jeez love - get a life...
have you nothing more serious to worry about .

Actually I am equally intigued when people post AIBU to be spitting blood because of xx or AIBU to want to punch the face in of the guy that did y..
surely the answer is always - er - yes

shootfromthehip · 04/12/2008 13:46

Yes YAB f*$@ing U...

Ok so it is a little bit silly when people go down that route. Does seem to be contagious sometimes too. I don't often feel that sorry for the OP because this is the internet after all, but more often than not I feel sorry for the raging women who will not doubt make their DH/ DP's life a bloody misery later that day
