Every time I see that advert for Same Difference's new album I want to hurl vile abuse at tv

YANBU

They should be on after the watershed so as not to scare young children with their freaky smiley chucky/joker-from-batman faces

Iklboo · 03/12/2008 14:46

MadreInglese - glad it's not just me. Tis probably the only time I ever agreed with Louis Walsh on anything

YABU, much better than the tosh that's always playing on the radio. I know what CD my DD can have for xmas and it won't be Akon or any of his friends.

girlandboy · 03/12/2008 14:53

We need a link here, because I have obviously not seen it.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 03/12/2008 14:54

POP is back

wotulookinat · 03/12/2008 14:56

It's incestuous, I'm sure. Gross.

dizzydixies · 03/12/2008 14:58

agree completely BUT on a lighter not those bloody awful DFS ads have apparently been banned - wahey!!!

VinegarTinselTits · 03/12/2008 14:58

I DO hurl abuse at the TV when i see the advert

Their song makes my ears bleed

Iklboo · 03/12/2008 15:01

We listen to Radio 2 and I'd rather DS listened to that that Same Difference . Are there any original songs on the album or is it all covers (genuine question)

OP posts:
girlandboy · 03/12/2008 15:03

Ahhhh, thanks for the link!

I had seen this before, but innocently thought it must be something to do with High School Musical!

This just goes to show how little attention I pay to adverts.

Also shows how out of touch I am with things.

Daisy15 · 03/12/2008 17:41

i HATE Same Difference. I think it's really weird the way they sing love songs when they are brother and sister.

JingleBonesJun · 03/12/2008 18:20

You know they still take baths together

CharCharGaboriaInExcelsisDeo · 03/12/2008 18:21

God I hate that ad. Where's censorship when you need it?

Jux · 03/12/2008 18:31

Wouldn't they be better named the Stepford Songsters?

callaird · 03/12/2008 19:40

Same difference were at our local soft play on friday, performing, my 13 month twin charges cried until we left!!

Might have had something to do with the CROWDS of people there and the noise but I think it was their singing!!!

wotulookinat · 03/12/2008 19:54

OMG they are not the sort of role models I would want my kids to have.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 04/12/2008 09:11

Why not wotulookinat?
I just wonder because there is nothing bad about them whatsoever. (role model wise)

wotulookinat · 04/12/2008 10:09

It's just the incestuousness that makes me cringe. I'd hate my kids to be like that.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 04/12/2008 10:14

What happy with a good relationship?

wotulookinat · 04/12/2008 10:18

You know full well what I mean!

Bucharest · 04/12/2008 10:20

Don't you think the boy looks like Rodney Trotter's lovechild?
I shan't click on the link. Haven't got a bucket handy.

wotulookinat · 04/12/2008 10:21

Don't click on it. It'll make your eyes bleed.

Bucharest · 04/12/2008 10:23

I'm only just getting over my PTSD from last year. What with them, and then PantoBoy winning.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 04/12/2008 10:37

I don't! Yes they're a bit sickly sweet but what's wrong with being nice???
The whole 'incestous' thing is a spin others have put on it, not them.

Iklboo · 04/12/2008 12:46

When we first saw them and the way they interacted we thought "there's something a bit Carpenters about these".
I blame me rock chick/indie spirit for being mean to them. I mean, I used to lurve the Bay City Rollers when I was 5 or 6.
But role models or not they're a bit twee for me. Glad VS (well, NPVS now) likes them. T'would not do for us all to be the same.
DS is affirmed 'wock baby!'
