AIBU unreasonable to wonder if my local obstetric physio team doesn't really care ...

I have got a debilitating version of SPD which got dramatically worse four weeks ago, and the GP and hospital ante-natal clinic both arranged for emergency referrals for me to the NHS obstetric physio team. I am now more or less housebound, have applied for a Blue Badge and Disability Living Allowance, can't look after my children or do anything around the house, etc etc.

Since then I haven't heard a peep out of them, although by shuffling up there in great pain I managed to get a pair of mismatching crutches out of them a fortnight ago by making a big fuss.

Is it really all that unreasonable to expect some sort of proper help and therapy a bit sooner than this???

I can't remember, it's what we were told at our PGP physio class. It went in one ear and out the other as it didn't apply to me. I think you may not be one of those though as you're suffering so badly

Buggeration.
I was very hopeful for a moment there.

I'm not an expert, so you could still hold out hope

MW has phoned today as well and made sure I am getting seen! They lost her referral as well.

All hell seems to have broken loose down there now over this.

Update: appointment was fairly useless, advice irrelevant, I can hardly walk at all now. I am due back there on 29th December if I live that long.

Hi, I'm new to mumsnet but have found reading the postings helpful so thankyou. I have been in constant PGP pain for over a week now and am at the end of my tether. Went to GP again this morning who said there is nothing he could do, no point referring to physio as it would take about 8 weeks. Asked him about a support belt, said he didn't know where to get them, I'd have to speak to an obstetician. Am still off sick as can't walk/stand for very long. Not ideal when I am self-employed!!! Have spent all morning phoning round physios but either on holiday or won't see pregnant people and only seem to have support belts in x-large size! Keep bursting into tears mainly through pain, frustration and despair, hate this, know it's not the baby's fault but difficult not too think it sometimes!
