A friend of a friend, who was always nasty to me asked me to 'friend her'.
I just ignored it.

Then got messages asking me why from people I haven't seen in a bloody decade.

I ignored.

Then all sorts of horrid messages come my way.

tell them all to fuck off

SAmbiClaus · 30/11/2008 20:58

Its horrible in that sense. I don't add people I've not met or never liked 10 years ago.

MrsSnape · 30/11/2008 20:59

god the childishness of some people really amazes me. Maybe I'm just getting old!
I'd continue to ignore it if I were you, can you block on facebook?

scifinerd · 30/11/2008 21:03

God that is horrible, I am even more glad I never bothered with facebook. How old are these people, 13? I am sorry you have to put up with this virtual bullying.

RedFraggle · 30/11/2008 21:05

Don't respond. If you respond they will be able to see your profile and write on your wall etc.

Just ignore - they are twunts.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 30/11/2008 21:09

I'm not sure how to block, would love to know though

You can delete anyone off your friends list, but I don't think you can stop them sending you messages, even if they are not your friends.

Merrylegs · 30/11/2008 21:23

You can go to your privacy settings (click on settings top RH corner after your name) then block them. They won't be able to see your profile or send you messages then. You can also set you profile so people can't just add you as a friend.

bitofadramaqueen · 30/11/2008 21:24

You can block someone having access to you or being able to see you on fb. Log in to fb, and go to settings at the top right hand corner. Select privacy settings - at the bottom of the page you have the opportunity to block people.

HTH.

Facebook is a scurge. I went in today and deleted loads of 'friends', who I have absolutely no contact with, no desire to see their updates and dont particularly want them to know what I'm doing either. Soon it will be down to only close family and friends and used solely as a method of sharing photos of my dd.

I found out a friend had her hen this or last weekend and I wasnt invited and it ruined my afternoon. Do I need to know this shi* from simply logging onto a site.?
