YANBU. I would spent £60 on my wonderful fil without a second thought and have done many times. In the past he has virtually redecorated our whole house, he does loads of DIY jobs for us and is a wonderful dad and grandad. He is currently in remission and never complains or moans when he has been having chemo, etc.

Good for you - you've certainly not made an arse of yourself!

Hope I get a dil like you!! It's a lovely thought and he'll really appreciate it. Well done you.
