If your neighbours did this would you be annoyed?

I'm a bad sleeper, but, last night I was sparko for the first time in ages.

At 2.14 (I always check phone when woken)neighbour came in pissed up.

She went to the back of her house (near my dd's bedroom window) and started shouting her kids to let her in (she never takes her keys out with her), this went on for ten minutes until her children let her in, during this time the taxi driver started pipping his horn. (she didn't have enough taxi fare either)and her daughter starting shouting, asking how much the fare was as her mother went straight to bed.

I then struggled to get back off to sleep and I'm shattered this morning whilst she is still asleep in bed.

AIBU to be royally pissed off, this is not a one off occurrance either.

unavailable · 28/11/2008 10:06

Quick - Get the electric drill out.

glasgowstyle · 28/11/2008 10:06

Vacuum on as early as possible

cheeset · 28/11/2008 10:06

No YANBU.
Not a hanging offence either though is it?
How old was the daughter letting her in?

Mum2OliverJames · 28/11/2008 10:08

sounds like a lovely person

i too would be rather annoyed, but i get annoyed at my neighbours for not either de-fleeing their dog or doing something about his constant night-time scratching, it drives me barmy and always wakes me up!

PuzzleRocks · 28/11/2008 10:09

YANBU. I would be inclined to let it go if it were a Friday or Saturday night but not a Thursday. Selfish moo.

Ivykaty44 · 28/11/2008 10:10

Oh 6 am early morning call round to see if your neighbour enjoyed her night out

VictorianSqualor · 28/11/2008 10:14

YANBU.
Some numpty was razzing around my street on a flipping quadbike or the like at 3am this morning and even woke DP up it was that loud!

Nighbynight · 28/11/2008 10:53

YANBU. I would have given her grief (I did once, in a similar situation).

Pinkjenny · 28/11/2008 10:55

I'm filled with (irrational) rage if someone does this at 9pm, never mind 2am! No, you are definitely NBU!

nailpolish · 28/11/2008 10:57

wouldn t bother me if it was a one off

Lovemyshoes · 28/11/2008 11:03

Cheeset, no it isn't a hanging offence, but I have a dd who isn't well and I'm very concerned about and didn't want her waking up as she is not sleeping too good anyway.

Nailpolish, it's not a one off I would say she does it about once a week, always through the week.

tell her to put the key on string behind the letterbox

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/11/2008 11:27

YANBU

it would piss me off to be woken up,and for her to then possibly wake up yout dc

horns are not meant to be beeped after 11pm ( i think) take a note of his number plate and which frm he is with and complain about him

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/11/2008 11:28

forgot to say talk to your neighbour -when you are pissed you ofetn dont reliese how loud you are, and tell her to hide a key under the door mat etc
