He has some cryptic message as his status on FB. I commented on it, and so did a few of his friends who are obviously in the know.

He has replied to them that he will tell them more tommorow, but replied to me that he isn't telling me a thing

I have now told him that he may regret that seeing as I am currently looking after a large collection of his cd's and other bits and bobs

Honestly, what happened to bloods thicker than water eh ??

what did the message say???

IllegallyBrunette · 26/11/2008 20:56

Something along the lines of him feeling fab because of something that has happened.

It will be to do with some woman no doubt.

chequersandroastedchestnuts · 26/11/2008 21:03

It sounds sex related, would you really want to know?

barbie1 · 26/11/2008 21:12

um maybe he is just being on of the boys, nothing interesting but knowing it would wind you up not too know??? my sister does that to me all the time!

IB, (almost 50 here but have two older brothers and one slightly younger sister) You have got to draw the line (and respect the lines drawn by your siblings) as far as what you want to know and they want to tell.
I found out a long time ago that you don't ask something unless you can accept the answer. It doesn't mean you will like the answer, or that you won't. It just means that you respect your siblings decisions on their life and they yours.
I found this tough going from siblings that I played stupid games with as a child to growing into grownup subjects such as choosing partners and having (raising) children. My older brothers were older than I by 7 years and such. They changed my diapers when I was a baby and helped out with watching the babies (my sis and I) in the tub while Mom answered the door, phone, checked dinner etc.
They discovered girls way before we discovered guys (we girls couldn't figure out what the hubbub was for the longest time being so much younger). Maybe he just wants to share this with his friends. He has that right...just like you would.

wehaveallbeenthere

That is far too deep for a light hearted MN thread.

Nutty

Never mind the CD's, threaten him with your muffins.

barbie1 · 26/11/2008 21:53

my status would read...illegallybrunette is having a car boot sale on sunday, loads of cd's for sale, anyone interested?

That will teach him!

wehaveallbeenthere · 28/11/2008 17:32

lol, I'm sure she knows her brother and won't be shocked by whatever the news is....OR will be completely caught off guard. Is there a middle ground with siblings?
