Dh wants to start looking for a new job. He's a teacher and has another 15 years or so of work. He's fed up at his current school, although it's not awful and I think all jobs end up the same after a honeymoon period anyway. I love where we live and our house and our 3 children 11,8,3 are settled. Am I being mean as he's the main breadwinner and doesn't have the option of not working?

Why does he have to move in order to look for a job? Surely there are quite a number of other schools commutable from your home?

If he's got a pretty-much-guaranteed job at his current school then he'd be a bit of a fool to risk leaving it, especially at the moment with the UK economy the way it is.

Is there anything he can change about his current job from the inside? What about his current job doesn't he like?
