POuring down this morn..have dd and 2 mindees with me.

All the door are opened so children dont ahve to stand out in rain, i see dd in speak to her teacher , all fine..run over to reception part of school, door is locked, so we head to main doors and go in that way, i knock on the door and say good morning to teacher, i said would x be ok to come in or would you like us to wait out here on benches(claok room/corridoor) till you get sorted..teacher looks at me like ive just sworn at her..."is SHE in this class?".."well yes, its X" (mindee is stood there and i said her name).."well she doesnt come in this door, MYYYYYY class use that door"..me: yes i know that, but all the teachers are letting the children in early this morning due to the rain, THAT door is locked, so thats why we've come back this way to ask if its ok?"..T: "Myyyyyyyyy class use THAT door!".....so i say ok thanks..and we walk back through ahll to go stand in rain by the other door.when we get there..teacher has ALREADY let the children/parents in! and is stood near door way smirking!!???...eh?????..what an awkward *&^%!...and this is the teacher who gives me dissaproving looks as i run across playground with mindee to ensure shes not late as her and my own dd go in at the same time and they WONT let me take mindee in 2 mins earlier so shes NOT late!....arghhhhhh..god help the children i her class if she can be that arsey to a parent!

...and breathe

Aaah Let it go. A lot of teachers are like this. School runs in a very ordered fashion with lots of little odd rules which make no sense to us but are ofton there for a reason. If she lets you in a different way, she would probably think everyone will think they can do the same.

HRHSaintMamazon · 25/11/2008 10:42

i would actually speak to the head as this is very unreasonable behaviour.

Wallaroo · 25/11/2008 10:48

ooooooohhhh I would have been seething if she'd spoken to me like this and as much as I like to think I would have come back with a smart answer I know I wouldn't have at the time, and would have probably done/said the same as you! [angry for you

PinkChick · 25/11/2008 10:54

..i understand they want to show the children consistency, but if she clsoes the door before we can get to it on a morning, then we HAVE to use the door we tried to go in this morning!? and if she was an adult/grown up, could she not have explained it that way, instead of being such an arse? and then looking all silly and smirking?, should she , as a teacher, not have said, sorry x, but we must use this door for x, y and z reason, i wasnt being awkward?

the only reason she speaks to you like you are 3 is becuase you let her.

bare this in mind and next time look her up and down and say, "i don't like the tone you are taking. Do we have a problem here becuase if so, i think we should get the head"

PinkChick · 25/11/2008 10:57

LOL..the head is worse than useless !..she would just say oh children are told to use that door so they remember and wouldnt see that we ONLY used the other door as ALL the other teachers had said come in its raining.

From now on i WILL NOT break stride to get mindee in and when she(as she no doubt will) says something, i will then turn round and bite her on the bum by saying buy i DID try and solve the problem with you but you refused and i am late because you lcoked THAT door and had to use this door..the one im not meant to use instead!..arrrggghh..im more wound up now LOl, knowing it wont make one bit of difference if i do speak to head!...other than this i love the school, its very good, but head and this bloody pathetic teacher aree ARRRRggghh

you ARE right Custardo..thats something i always say as well, ..Only YOU can make yoruself be the victim!...i think she does need to be taken down a peg or 10, so next time she so much as looks down her nose at me i will ask her if there is a problem as she seems to think i am unable to comprehend basic english and that i dont expect to be spoken to in such a way when i am asking a eprfectly normal question...yeah nice one pink...good person to have around 2 hours after you need a sharp comeback! LOL

Personally, I think all the teachers should have stuck with the rule and let the kids get wet - it's only water you know

PinkChick · 25/11/2008 12:34

nah i dont agree, it was pouring down, they have ALWAYS let the kdis in and if we had stood out there then (as well as dd who is FULL of cold already) they would have been sat in soaking wet clothes all day...another mindee who came home with me after school on friday was soaked from toes up to knees..shes been to activity with school and they went while it was snowing, mindee (and others id assume) got soaked and teacher didnt think to get them some spare dry socks out (and i know they ahve them cos i take them in all the time and have seen the pile where they go), so mindee is now off AGAIN with temp and bad cold
