In a line of fairly slow moving traffic I see the window of the car in front go down, out comes the empty fag packet, the cellphane wrapper and the little bit of foil from the new packet. I flashed my lights and indicated to the rubbish with a WTF??? expression on my face. I got the finger.

The next thing is her outstretched arm is out the window waving a clump of tissue until she is sure she has my attention then lets it go!!!

I shook my head and mouthed "Scrubber"

I feel so enraged! People care so little about the state of our country. They have no pride!

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

WinkyWinkola · 24/11/2008 17:47

Yeah, pretty rank. And she's a loser too.

And those people who don't clear up dog poo. My MIL says if her dog poos on a mole hill, she doesn't clear it up. As if children can't fall on mole hills or something.

People are pretty dirty at times.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/11/2008 17:47

some vile bloke spat on the pavement the other day - yuck

CuddlyToy · 24/11/2008 17:57

Eurgh yes, spitting in the street and not scooping dog poo are also crimes against society.

What a dreadful woman.People like this make me seethe!
A cyclist once spat on my windscreen in the mistaken belief I had cut him up at the lights (actually it was the person in the same make and colour car as mine who was in front).I dont think I have ever been so in my life.I was so close to following him in manner of a road ragist, but then realised that he would probably batter me with his bike pump or something if I actually caught up to him.
Even if I had cut him up at the lights spitting on someones windscreen is a step too far!

kerala · 24/11/2008 18:52

How depressing

mummytowillow · 24/11/2008 21:02

Such a shame my hubby (a policeman) didn't see the awful woman, he would have chased after her and given her a fine!!

His colleague once fined a man who refused to pick up his dogs do do, and put it in a bag as evidence!! Yuck!

hecate · 24/11/2008 21:08

oooh, it drives me crazy!

I just don't GET it! Why throw something out of your car window? keep it in your bloody car. It's not like you are driving round for the rest of your life, is it? At some point you stop! You are in your car - eventually you are going home ffs! If you can't find a bin between then and home then keep it and put it in the bin at home. it's not fecking rocket science.

But oh, they don't want rubbish cluttering up their car - so they'll clutter up the streets instead, cos that looks sooooooo much better! and of course, it's somebody else's problem.

I'd like to see what the place would look like if all the rubbish that such twats throw around, was just left, piling up. I bet they'd fecking complain about the state of it!

Amberc · 24/11/2008 21:10

Oh I love the 'scrubber' part - such an underused derogatory term!

MERLYPUSS · 24/11/2008 22:23

I tell you what pisses me off. Chewing gum. Great globs of it outside McD's and Yates. They should be forced to pick it off with their bare hands.
OOOHHHHH and I watched a mum change her kid in the carpark (outside a very large Mothercare with a changing facility) and when she drove of there was a dirty nappy dumped by her driver door. Filthy cow.

alicet · 24/11/2008 22:33

Hecate puts it far more eloquently than me! . This is one of my pet hates - couldn't agree more.

Merlypuss at the pool we go to there are often nappies (although usually wet only judging by smell) left in the changing cubicles. Too often for it to be just a simple oversight. Sorry but thats just f*cking rank. Put them in the bin ffs

Spitting is the most disgusting thing ever!

I remember being at school with my bff and some grubby boy hawked up a big greeny and gobbed it on her head down the stairs, it still makes me feel ill to think about it!

blossomsmine · 24/11/2008 23:10

You are so NBU. I was driving out of a busy carpark the other day, the traffic slowly moving trying to get out on the main road. The car infront of me was packed, two men in the front and several kids in the back. The driver opened the front door and put on the floor his big brown takeout bag and also a drink with straw. He then drove on a little more and then his front passenger opened his door and did the same I was gobsmacked!!! The carpark was so busy and full he knew that everyone was looking and he didn't give a toss! Why aren't people giving these people fines?? There is loads of talk in our local paper at the moment about all the people getting fined for dropping cigarette butts and they are publishing pics of these people, which is fine, but can't they put the same emphasis on this litter dropping aswell??

mmelody · 25/11/2008 06:35

YANBU
We did a car boot sale last week and there was a couple next to us with a baby.. seemed really lovely and friendly. They left early as it began to rain and as they drove off they left two dirty nappies and a load of wipes on the floor. Someone ran after them shouting but they wound up the windows and drove away! Dirty gits.

SexyDomesticatedDad · 25/11/2008 12:03

Makes me very too - litter on floor on wat to school - I tell DCs its mess left by dirty people who don't want to clear it up. Outside the local OneStop the pavement is nearly all white now from all the gum dropped on it - AAAARRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

nickytwotimes · 25/11/2008 12:06

YANBU
One of my neighbours' kids does this - sits there throwing sweetie wrappers over her shoulder. Mum and Dad don't care.

They are scummy.

OrmIrian · 25/11/2008 12:09

It's such an odd thing to do too. It's not hard to hold on to the rubbish until you get to a bin. Almost more effort to chuck it out. It's feels like a metaphorical giving of the finger to everyone else IMO . .

At least spit washes away in the rain. Not that I like that either mind you. Rubbish stays there getting more and more messy,

hatwoman · 25/11/2008 12:09

once I came home to see the woman from the flat downstairs, sitting in her car on our shared drive/parking space, drop a fag packet out of the car window. Like you I was furiuos, so I walked over to the fag packet, picked it up and dropped it back through the car window. I can't remember if I said anything, it would have been calm but probably sounded snooty, something like "please don;t drop litter". Anyway, a couple of hours later I went out to find the entire pile of free local newspapers that used to get dumped on the flats' doorstep strewn all over the place. at which oiint I gave up, knowing I had zero interest in an escalating neighbour row, that she would probably enjoy

mishymoo · 25/11/2008 12:10

Our neighbour recently had a baby and had visitors over on the weekend, who had parked across our driveway. We didn't mind that but what made my DH and I very was the fact they left 2 McDonalds cups full of milkshake and coke on our driveway! Why???? They had just come out of a house where they could have left the drinks!

I find it as repulsive as the heading on your thread, to be honest. You equal eachother in repulsivenes.
