To find it really shocking that a mother masking taped her babies dummy to it's face?

my friend told me that a friend of hers was so desperate to follow the 2 hour nap advice in the baby whisperer that she swaddled the baby then taped it's dummy to it's face with masking tape.

Am I the only person to think WTF?? Or do people actually do things like this???

I'm sure no-one would actually do this. When DS had a dummy he used to drop it all he time and I was always joking abou gaffa taping it in place. I think someone has taken it the wrong way somewhere along the line.

My friend must have the wrong end of the stick. She was quite matter of fact when she told us about it, can't believe she wasn't more shocked or that her friend didn't tell her she was pulling her leg.
