DH train due in soon, he's got to walk from the station as dc's in bed.

I haven't seen him since Tuesday am - he's been away in the North. I haven't spoken to him much as I've had a cold and felt grim every time I talked.

I'm shattered, worn out with coughing, house is a tip, and I just can't stay up to say "Hello" to him...

Shall I just lock up and go to bed?

Yep look after yourself, but leave him a loving note so he knows you care but are ill, and that you know the house is a tip etc

just txt him "Have u got a key" and he txtd back "Somewhere - u not meeting me then?"
