to eat dinner without him?

DH normally gets home for 8pm and I eat with him when kids are in bed.
He's just texted to say he's in pub and will be home at 8.30

I've got a real craving on for chips and cheese and I want it NOW

AIBU to make it now and eat it before he gets in and then say to him I ate earlier as he was late and he can get his own tea?

Not unreasonable at all.

TheArmadillo · 20/11/2008 19:21

send him a text saying you're hungry and eating now and he can get something out or when he gets home.

All sorted and happy.

TheSeriousOne · 20/11/2008 19:24

Not unreasonable at all.

Text back, tell him to enjoy his pint and then enjoy your cheesy chips

Happiness all round!

cheshirekitty · 20/11/2008 19:42

You have never had chips and cheese, teenspirit? Get yerself down the chippy and try them out, they are AMAZING! (but very unhealthy lol!) Maybe it's a Scottish thing.

TeenyTinyTorya · 20/11/2008 20:08

Apparently not, as you live in Ipswich, 2.4 lol

Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 20:09

Tell him you are eating now and to bring back something from the chipper. then steal most of it. It's what my DW would do.

differentID · 20/11/2008 20:34

ooh, fancy some myself now.

sparkybabe · 20/11/2008 20:35

I tell dh that if he is not home by 7pm I will eat without him. I'm usually starving by then.
