rental of rooms for toddlers...

I was phoned last night and give 4 days notice that the rooms we have hired for the past year for toddlers will be unavailable from Friday for 4 weeks because they are decorating.

4 weeks.
It is a flipping glorified portakabin.

Me: "Oh. Did you not find out till today then?"

Woman in office: "No. We entered a competition and didn't think we would win."

Me: " But you did win."

Her: "Yes. Fantastic isn't it?"

ME: (lying) "Oh yes. Lovely."

It was renovated 18 nths ago.

There is fark all to do.

I speak tho the people who rent it to us every bloody week and on Friday checked that the room was still available on the 19th for our Christmas party and they said nothing

I am flippin' mad and so are the other women who run the gorup with me.

Oh wow - there's nothing like some notice is there! I can quite understand why are you angry. Can the local church/other organisation help out in the short term? Where abouts are you?

are they using teensy tiny small brushes? and bunch of under 3's to decorate?

i dont get the four weeks at all and yeh i would be feeling a bit put out...

is the party cancelled? bit rough if so

is it time to source another scruffy but available toddler den?

Someone probably could help us out or we could mmet at each others homes, but we do not have the contact details of soem of the new people who have been coming for a few weeks and I really don't want them to show up tis week and be disappointed as we really need more memebers.

Re the people who you can't contact - are you able to put a sign up on the door of the place on Friday morning to say "we're meeting at xxxxxxx address"?
