where i live it's a village that had quite a few new houses built about 10 years ago.

sitting in the waiting room, some old man starts asking this woman where she lives she says oh villa way.
he goes wheres that then?
she says its in xxxxxx the village we are all in.
he says oh i'ved lived here all my life and i have never of that.
then starts asking exactly where it is!.
when she tells him it over the road from the park he goes

oh there!
you know what we call that don't you ?
concerete jungle.
oh thats not part of xxxxx
hes getting the woman annoyed
she starts asking how long she has to live thre until shes part of the community he says 75 years
then starts banging on about how horrid the new house are and how his view is spoilt
shes going oh but we have to live somewhere.

i was tempted to tell him if he didn't like why doesn't he move?

I dont really see why you should be so annoyed.
He was saying the building were a bit of any eyesore..only his opinion...and we know the older generation do have a tendency to ramble a bit.

I would take it with a pinch of salt.

answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 21:14

he was hounding her and making her feel quite unwelcome.
maybe she should of told him to buy on e of the new houses then he would have a countryside view.

fwiw i live in the old part
