to buy ds1 a reward chart to keep at school because he was off sick when they were distributed?

It's not really a big deal IMO but ds1 (Y2) gets a little upset about the fact that all his classmates have reward charts for their stickers. He was absent when they were given and when he asked his teacher for one she said sorry, and I don't know what explanation she gave.

Anyway, I think she should have got enough for everyone but, for whatever reason, he doesn't have one so I bought one for him to take in and keep in his tray. Do you think teacher will mind?

I don't see why she would mind but I would ask her yourself why she hasn't given him one herself!

meemar · 18/11/2008 13:35

If she wasn't planning on getting him one, I can't see how she could possibly object.

But maybe you should have checked with her first to see if/when he would be receiving one.

kitbit · 18/11/2008 13:39

I wouldn't care if she minded personally! Not fair if he doesn't have one, and I can't see why she would mind if she wasn't going to give him one herself.

(meemar hi, dd ill as anything

I think it's a bit weird, i would check with teacher myself. Maybe she didn't really hear what dc said, or listen? She might have forgot he wasn't there. They have so many thigns to deal with.

It would be odd if she was just being mean about it or not caring.

Go and ask the teacher - maybe she said sorry - I'll get you one on Thurdsday, sorry, I've left them at home, I'll bring yours in tomorrow, sorry, thery're in the head's office and it's locked - I'll get you one as soon as she comes back......

thanks everyone, I think she's just a bit absent-minded.

yes cat24 that is possible, ds1 is not the most reliable relayer of information. I will check with him today then speak to the teacher tomorrow.
