she can only say no.

go for it, she might well appreciate the little extra this close to xmas, and you get a job done

moondog · 15/11/2008 17:15

So how much will you pay her in total?

TheCrackFox · 15/11/2008 17:16

That is the best idea I have heard for ages.

malovitt · 15/11/2008 17:16

An evening out and coming home to find your ironing all done =heaven.

I'm sure she'll accept if she did your washing up unasked before.

Sounds great.

giddykipper · 15/11/2008 17:18

Definitely ask

Carmenere · 15/11/2008 17:19

That is a great idea, very enterprising.

DaisyMooSteiner · 15/11/2008 17:19

I used to do this when I babysit - I was only too happy to do something useful and I didn't expect any extra money. Ask - she can only say no!

you can ask

but double my bs rate or even all the money in the world wouldnt make me iron someone else cothes

i HATE ironing and rarely iron my own clothes

TrinityRhino · 15/11/2008 17:30

I would definitely ask
I would iron other peoples clothes even tjhough I never iron anything

nymphadora · 15/11/2008 17:31

I wouldn't mind being asked but I hate it and it would depend how much I needed the money!

ilovetochat · 15/11/2008 17:32

i would love someone to pay me to do their ironing, its a job i don't mind at all, infact what a good idea.

rookiemater · 15/11/2008 17:50

Go for it, great idea.

TrillianA · 15/11/2008 18:41

I would have done it back when I was a teenage babysitter (and been very glad of the money), but only if the kids were in bed, not if they were running around and there was any chance they could knock and iron onto themselves...

ShinyPinkPumpkin · 15/11/2008 18:47

I'll be amazed if she says no what a good idea.

shootfromthehip · 15/11/2008 18:52

LOL- Love it.

MsPontipine · 15/11/2008 22:33

Woah!! I'm right cheap at about £4 an hour!! I would jump at the chance of making some more money - if I was offered I'd bite her hand off!!

babalon · 15/11/2008 22:48

Did you ask?

No you ANBU just clever (off to find babysiter to ask to iron)

surreylady · 15/11/2008 22:51

Several babysitters around here do ironing for an extra hourly rate - I think it is not uncommon.
