We had dinner, v. good female friend, her dp, and me. I have known the two of them as long as each other but feel very close to female friend and much less to her dp. if not for her, i doubt he and I would still be in touch.
When it was time for me to leave, I gave her a big hug and then turned to him and dodged a few times on the way in for what I was intending or hoping to be a minor cheek peck. He TOTALLY DELIBERATELY manipulated a lip kiss by double bluffing. I barely stopped myself from wiping my mouth.

GROSSED OUT - ok I am overreacting to this but wanted to share.

I think I am getting a cold, I hope it turns into a MONSTER VIRUS for him. Dammit, no I don't, as she will get it and their DCs!

yukky yukky yuk yuk yuk, I am too old to be messed about with like that. clearly out of practice with minor over-stepping-the-mark manhandling through being old, ugly and assertive - thank goodness!

euw! what did the female friend do when he planted this unwelcome kiss?

wehaveallbeenthere · 14/11/2008 13:57

lol, is he at least somewhat good looking? Maybe your good friend put him up to it?
Perhaps next time just a hug for the both of them would be appropriate? Or a hand shake.

Lots of listerine and a mind wipe.

LOL welbeave - 'maybe your good friend put him up to it'.....

Blinglovin · 14/11/2008 14:00

I'm feeling your pain Vezzie.

DP has a good friend who ALWAYS goes in for the big lip kiss. I'm always dodging but sometimes I miss. even dp notices now.

And even more disturbingly, we have a female friend who does it too. In her case, it's definitely not sexual, but nonetheless weird.

BlueBumedFly · 14/11/2008 14:06

Euw now I am grossed out ... what posesses (sp?) people to do this to others???

vezzie · 14/11/2008 14:49

Bluebumedfly - I think she saw and didn't like it. Something crossed her face like looking upset or pissed off for a second.

I am not going back there without a strategy to stop this happening again. can't think of one just now but I will!

Blinglovin - don't you think the weird thing is when you know they are going to do it, so you do everything reasonable to stop it, and they do it anyway at great effort, which means they are deliberately kissing someone WHO THEY KNOW DOESN'T WANT TO - where on earth is the fun in that? Weirdos.

Poor vezzie and poor vezzies best friend, bleugh. Some people are just no supposed to let out on social events and cannot be trusted

Blinglovin · 14/11/2008 15:07

It's true vezzie - I hadn't thought of that. Now am even more grossed out.

Although to be fair to DP's friend - he doesn't try too hard. Occassionally it still gets tricky, but mostly, he lets me dodge.
