I really can't accept that they'll just get a few years in prison and be out to get on with their lives. I don't even agree with the death penalty, but this Baby P case just makes me (along with everyone else, I know) so so angry.

Again, I started ONE thread about the issue. If you've read others elsewhere, I'm not responsible for them. I only read AIBU and SN.

I'm buggered if I'm going to search all of MN to check there's not a similar topic before I start one! I couldn't see any others on the front page of AIBU. It's up to me what I post and up to you what you read and post on.

I wasn't after validation in particular - I was genuinely interested in what people thought. It seems most think IABU - that's fine - that's what I wanted to know. What does make me is the 'how dare you post this here' bollocks. I maintain that you don't have to post on things you aren't interested in, that you can't have a paddy just because you don't like a topic that someone posts, you don't need to swear at someone just because you think they've asked something that you don't think is a good topic.

Thanks to those who actually answered my question and to the rest of you...perhaps there should be a thread about the unwritten rules of the AIBU board for those who aren't 'in the know'... or, better yet, you could just form your own board and talk to each other so that nobody breaks the rules that don't even exist .

Givemesleep - sorry you've had such a hard time . It is all over the news so I don't know why some folk are being precious over it. There's a facebook group with hundreds of thousands on it. It's in the news, it's life, which makes it a topic of conversation however horrid.
