To refuse to purchase a tooth-tune toothbrush for the children when they cost £7 each?

Personally I'd say I think I'm being extremely reasonable not wasting £7, however, having (only just) survived the subsequent meltdown by ds1, I sometimes wonder if I should have gone for the easier option and given in.........

They freak me out all that music in you head ouch ...yanbu plus everytime they brush their teeth in your range of hearing you will be singing some bloody stupid song all day .

DrZeus · 12/11/2008 18:11

Oh yes, should have mentioned - it played High School Musical! Another reason to say NO!

Stocking filler? I am getting DS one. Anything to encourage him to brush for longer without me screaming at him!

DrZeus · 12/11/2008 18:29

Can you change the brush head on them, or do you have to bin it after 3 months?

No idea!

TequilaMockinBird · 12/11/2008 19:03

Apparently wilkinsons have these in for £2.99.

2shoes · 12/11/2008 19:03

they are bruilliant. dd has cp and refused to let us brush her teeth, since getting one she has been so much better,
you can't change the head though,
but as she gets DLA I will still buy them.

2shoes · 12/11/2008 19:04

oh someone get me a couple of those please.
we haven't got a wilkinsons near us.

TequilaMockinBird · 12/11/2008 19:20

2shoes I'm going to Wilkinsons either tomorrow or Friday as DD has been on about these for ages.

If they have them in, i'll pick a couple up for you

BreevandercampLGJ · 12/11/2008 19:27

They are a sealed unit and you can't replace the heads at the £6 Dh was suckered for the other day at the dentist, they are a rip off.

At £2.99 they are still not cheap, but they are worth it for what they achieve. He loves brushing his teeth in the morning, the evening was never a problem but he really hates/hated the mornings.

Hulababy · 12/11/2008 19:46

DD had a HSM one of these last year, my parents got it (much cheaper too) from the US for her. She loved it. Wonder if I can get to Wilkos?

I might "give in" for 2.99 but £7.- only worth it if it is to brush gold teeth

YANBU £7.- is day light robery, even for a musical tooth brush. Does it have an MP3 in the handle???

daffodill6 · 12/11/2008 20:53

How about as a gift from santa?

2shoes · 12/11/2008 21:14

TequilaMockinBird oh please do
even with p&p they will be cheaper

TequilaMockinBird · 14/11/2008 18:57

2shoes, I searched 2 Wilkinson stores today and couldnt find any

1 of them said that they may be getting some more in but didnt know when, so I'll keep my eyes open and if I see any, will let you know!
