OK, am feeling a bit guilty now. dd phoned to say she was on her way home from work. Think she wanted me to pick her up, but am feeling lazyshattered.

Today I have left the house at 7am, driven 1 hour to work. Worked 8.l5am to 13.15pm, on my feet the whole time. Drove 1 hour home. Cleaned the bathrooms, did 2 hours of ironing, polished and hoovered. Put 2 loads of washing on and prepared dinner.

So AIBU. Should I have picked her up? dd is 19.

No of course you shouldn't have picked her up. She is a grown up, she works, she takes responsibility for getting to and from work. Otherwise you might as well get one of those fetching jumpers with 'wipe here' printed on the back.

She's a grown girl. If she had really wanted you to pick her up she should have just asked, and given you a proper choice. Besides, it will give her an incentive to get her own car (just assuming she doesn't have one!)

Well if you can't be bothered/are tired then YANBU.

I do sometimes pick up ds1 from work/take him even when i am tired/busy because he does do me lots of favours and i don't mind returning the favour.

Oh and i don't have any of those jumpers
