Sharing food!!!

my partner and i yesterday fought over the last piece of cake to eat. We are both quite large, and we were both desperate for the last bit.

He had it. Am I being unreasonable to not demand a share of the last piece?

buy more cake?

roobarbschmoobarb · 12/11/2008 11:42

YABU...would you have wanted to share if you had got to it first? I know i wouldnt. I hate sharing food with anyone. I'll share anything else...even money...just dont ask me to share food

MrsMattie · 12/11/2008 11:43

Finders keepers. If I spot the last biccie, it's mine.

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:43

it was late and the shops were shut. he was being very mean eating it all himself. quite selfish as well.

It was black forest chocolate gauteau. My favourite. Now there is no more in the house and he has taken the car so i can't get any more.

compo · 12/11/2008 11:45

maybe see it as a kickstart for some healthy eating

AstroPup · 12/11/2008 11:45

Why dont you have a nice shiny apple?

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:46

i am having a major rethink of our r'ship. If he has this last piece of cake, what else won't he share with me? i am worried.

princessmel · 12/11/2008 11:47
Hmm
Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:47

the maggots ate all our apples. we use to grow all our own food. dont anymore and we get all our produce from sainsburys.

included all the cakes

compo · 12/11/2008 11:47
Hmm
roobarbschmoobarb · 12/11/2008 11:47

Maybe he's like me Onelump....lol sharing isn't a problem but sharing food has a completely different set of rules. All written by me of course

AstroPup · 12/11/2008 11:47

bored now.

compo · 12/11/2008 11:48

oh yes definitely go to relate, I would start rethinking your whole marraige

roobarbschmoobarb · 12/11/2008 11:48

*wonders how difficult it might be to grow a cake tree

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:50

roobarbschmoobarb - that is a bit selfish my dear.

compo. maybe too early for relate but i am worried...how do i make an appointment?

SlartyBartFast · 12/11/2008 11:50

i always give the last slice to my dearest children or dearest hubbie - but i am still a chubby whatsit

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:51

roobarbschmoobarb - is it possible to grow that sort of tree?

OP posts:
pingping · 12/11/2008 11:51

How many slices of cake had you eaten before?

Its true love if a man shares the last bit of food with his woman.

I agree with Compo.

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 11:52

SlartyBartFast - that is nice of you. time to go on a diet hun...well i will look at the positive, no last slice could make me lose pounds. who needs to go on a diet?

OP posts:
Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 12:01

rob - i bet u would not share your last piece of cake. and even scoff the last rollo. greedy man

OP posts:
DisasterArea · 12/11/2008 12:08

The onl way to settle this is to have one of you cut the slice into two and the other choose which slice to eat.
now go and find something to play with before i knock your heads together.

Onelumportwo · 12/11/2008 12:12

he nevdr did that...he rushed off to the kitcken. go a spoon and ate it in a few seconds...

we had a blasing row because of it. I have decide to put a lock on the fridge so this won't happen together.

i am full time mum and the kitchen is my kingdom.

You should never have left that piece of cake in full view! That is your fault!
