to be annoyed that DH left the car unlocked again 2 months after our satnav was nicked

2 months ago he left the car unlocked, outside our house. The next morning I noticed that one of the doors wasn't shut properly - on closer inspection all our maps and old sweets were all over the seats, and the sat nav was missing. (Yes I know we were stupid to leave it in the glove box).

This morning I find the car unlocked again, door slightly open. TOTAL mess this time, as they didn't find what they were looking for (we have learnt one thing at least). Sadly DH's glof clubs, which I have been asking him to remove for 2 weeks as the kids keep tripping over them, are still here - although they have been messed about with.

But when I spoke to my DDH, he went, 'Right, have you called the police" er no-- they laughed at me last time, why would I go back for more' ;OK - so the golf clubs are still there?' Yes - but it's such a mess, I don't know if anything else is missing.

"Right - why exactly have you called me?'

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
So annoyed - not a note of apology or contrition in his voice.

Have been really worried that a set of house keys were in there too, and that we will be burgled tonight while we're asleep..

I would have hidden the clubs until he showed remorse.

I can think of something much more creative you could do with his golf clubs.. I am not suprrised you are both worried and pissed off

you have my sympathies, dp is always leaving our car unlocked and it drives me nuts!! Nothing's been nicked yet (probably as there's nothing worth nicking!) but I'm sure it won't be long. DP had a stereo taken from his old car but evidently has learnt nothing from the experience.
I'm tempted to sneak out and move the car so he thinks it's been taken

YANBU - to be annoyed at the fact your car has been broken into, but imo YABU to be annoyed at DH as it was probably unintentional.

PS. This is only because I forget to lock car all the time and hope my dh isnt too hard on me when it gets broken into!

How irritating.

Make sure you scrub the mark the satnav leaves off the window every time you leave the car. Apparently thieves look for it because they think you'll have left the satnav in the glove box.

YANBU - I wouldn't be annoyed, I'd be right royally p*ed off!

You need to find out if the house keys were in there, and if so, get your locks changed sharpish!
