Seems like a pretty joyless attitude to me.

Its pretty fecking joyless having to listen to it too - and i can promise you that its nothing cultural, just people seeing if they can make the biggest bangs - its pathetic.

I am in favour of organised displays only, and only before a certain time - say nine o clock, but you know this is just going to go on, and on and on - my dog is a wreck.

We have had them going off since last Saturday, I am just fucked off with the dog pretending he is scared. He used to chase them FFS - So i have to vacuum 3 times a day, because he wants to be in the living room with us which is carpeted. All because of the farkin fireworks. ggggrrrrrr. Seems to be the same group of neighbours every night.

One our our local firework do's got cancelled last weekend, cancelled this weekend and is rescheduled for next weekend. Am less then impressed.

YANBU. Ever since the huge fire work parties for New Year in 2000 the fireworks seem to start going off in October and carry on until 2nd January.

Oh well, due to the inclement weather we will be waiting until next weekend to let ours off

My babies always slept through and our dogs just get on with it. We are a no nonsense kind of household
