Whinge alert!!!!
I've been feeling crap for about 8 weeks now, ever since I had a nasty cold. Symtptoms are a bit odd, just a tiredness that comes and goes through out the day but hits me like a train and also comes accompanied by an uncharacterisitic depression. Also headaches and attacks of the sweats. It's really frustrating and getting me down.
Bumped into my friend's DH who has been suffering from exactly the same things as me, he'd been to the doctor who has put him through blood tests as there is a virus doing the rounds which is similar to glandular fever.
On hearing this I thought it wise to visit the surgery myself. So off I dragged my weary bones only to be told "you need to get some rest" (this whilst DS,3, was trashing the surgery) and "its probably some post-viral thingy". Nothing else, no tests, no further questioning. Nada.
So AIBU to feel a bit put out and wish I was taken a bit more seriously?
Perhaps I should've hammed it up more man-style?
What do you reckon?

Not unreasonable to feel that you could have been taken a bit more seriously, but I dont think tests etc are really necessary for either of you, I would try and be pleased that you have avoided unnecessary medical intervention, whereas DH friend has been meddled with.
