  1. A pigeon pecked my sandwich just as I was about to eat it!!
  1. A man came and started smoking right next to be just as I was about to eat my one hygenic sandwich half. Told him to p* off.
  1. My mum keeps making COMPLETELY ridiculous suggestions about how I should look after DD (eg. "when she goes swimming, don't let her get her head wet in case she gets ill." WTF?! She's been swimming underwater since she was 3 months and loves it and is pretty healthy despite getting wet. Even better, stopping me from taking DD outside unless she wears a PASHMINA?!?!?! She's 15 months, and not good at keeping a pashmina draped loosely around her shoulders as she plays in the garden.
  1. I've been stood up by an old friend for lunch. Again (hence eating a sandwich outside with the pigeons).
  1. Too many more issues, primarily with money and mothers, to bother writing down. Grrrr - am so wound up I'm ready to lamp someone!!!

Cheeky fucking pigeon

Hmmm YANBU!

Pigeons are bastards -we had one land on our table during lunch outside a cafe in Lisbon in the summer.

lol at a 15mo trying to play whilst stylishly draped in a pashmina

Mothers seem to have a talent for giving useless 'advice'. Mine told me off for giving my daughter (17months) a jam tart the other day. "I would never have given YOU a jam tart at that age!". No, but you quite happily buy my DS a HUGE gingerbread man or a Milky Way... tempting to tell them to F off, isnt' it?!

LOL @ 15mo draped in a pashmina!
Sorry to hear your friend stood you up!
I hate sky rats, evil things.
Hope you have a better day tomorrow!

PMSL @ pashmina for a 15 month old

Thank you all - when it's not particularly appropriate to go and have a real rant at your colleagues, it's a relief to be able to get it off your chest on MN!

I really don't know what she was thinking with the pashmina - I certainly don't remember being draped in pashminas or other age-inappropriate clothing when she had responsibility for my wardrobe, but then she did give me mutant hairdos...
