To really not want to go to the fire work display tonight

Because I wan't to stay warm and dry and watch X Factor?

So do not go. Life is too short to go to places you do not want to go to.

Are you supposed be taking you kids, can they go without you?

Is it going to rain? If so definitely stay in.

But it's not really fair to make DH take DC's on his own, is it? WE hardly ever get time to do anything as a family.

Record x factor and go, its one night a year and the DC's will love it. Wrap up warm and then come home and enjoy the tv show later with hot drinks and cake

Do the DCs get much time with DH on his own? If so call it a daddy and kids bonding outing.

I have lots of happy memories of bonfire nights as a kid.
So go - not that I want to make you feel guilty of course.

I've sent DH on his own before now.

My turn tonight though, but only cos I've got free tickets and DH is at work.

Am more bothered about missing strictly and Casualty.

We can't go to ours as it is p*ing down and probably cancelled anyway!

I am debating this one too.

We are already one down as DSD has sickness bug.

DD pissed off that DSD is not coming.

It's raining.

But I have invited people and meeting people there and I have made baked potatoes.

But I did have my hair done today and the rain will make it frizz and the mud will ruin my new boots.

X factor is on tomorrow at lunchtime you can watch it then, wrap up warm and put your brolly up, wear your wellies and go and have fun!

I have to go to one next weekend and I am secretly hoping it pees it down and it is cancelled.

The 2 younger DC's were very tired - so I put them to bed, so that sorted my dilema!

I'll try to take them to another one in the week.
